Mr. Ernest Haffmans founded the company in 1947. When in the early 1960's Ernest Haffmans decided to develop and assemble Quality Control Equipment, the famous CO2 Gehaltemeter was born. In the 1970's the activities were extended and Haffmans started to deliver CO2-Recovery technology.In 1980 Bert Haffmans succeeded his father and the focus of the company shifted from trading into development, manufacturing and service, focusing on the areas of Quality Control Equipment, Units for Carbonation, Blending, De-aeration and CO2-Recovery.

In 1998 Norit ‘leading in purification’ became the 100% shareholder in Norit Haffmans. Norit Haffmans is a world market leader, offering a competitive and innovative range of components, systems and solutions for CO2 applications.

Norit Haffmans supplies a wide range of products, components and solutions with the product range split into two main divisions: Quality Control Equipment and CO2 Systems.

Amongst the various CO2, O2 and air measement equipment are instruments applicable for at-line, in-line and laboratory usage. The Foam and Turbidity measurement equipment is laboratory, however, with Norit Haffmans sampling devices, samples can be taken from process lines, vessels, tanks, and water/beverage lines.

Within the CO2 Systems division, the driving force is not only to continuously upgrade both the quality and quantity of the manufacturing plants output, but environmental awareness and energy/cost reduction also play a major role in our concepts.
