Norit Haffmans supply two CO2 storage and dosing systems for reverse osmosis plants in Saudi Arabia.

Norit Haffmans CO2 system was chosen for 140kg/hr installation in the Marafiq desalination plant in Al Jubail Saudi Arabia. Norit Haffmans will supply a CO2 storage facility, evaporating unit and three injection units to inject the CO2 gas directly into the reverse osmosis (RO) water pipelines prior to the addition of the lime solution.

In addition Norit Haffmans was chosen by SETE Energy Saudia for 110kg/hr installations for the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology project at Rabigh Saudi Arabia. Norit Haffmans will supply a CO2 storage facility, evaporating unit and injection units to inject the CO2 gas directly into the reverse osmosis (RO) water pipelines prior to the addition of the lime solution.

The main purpose of this application is the re-mineralization of potable water. Because using CO2 results in a lower impact on the environment and in cost savings, this project is another outstanding example of how Norit Haffmans contributes to the sustainable future of its customers.
